One games library, many ways to show it
Origin gives you a complete games system: a central library of game titles, the supporting details that describe them, and a set of blocks for putting them on any page. Set a game up once and it's ready to feature anywhere on your site — in a curated list, on its own page, or inside a review.
The games library
Each game holds everything a player wants to know: thumbnail and screenshot, provider, rating, volatility, RTP, bet range, max win, release date, and a playable demo link. Games are organized by three supporting collections you control:
- Game Types (e.g. Slots, Table Games) — these also define the game's page address, so a game lives at /slots/game-name.
- Game Providers — the studio behind each game, with its own profile page.
- Themes & Features (e.g. Ancient Egypt, Free Spins) — used as filter tags and shown in game info.
Update a type, provider, or theme once and every game linked to it stays in sync automatically.
Games can populate themselves
Beyond adding games by hand, Origin can pull an entire catalogue in automatically from an external games provider (the tournament API). A "Seed Games" button on the Games list imports titles in bulk and keeps them current — each run safely creates or updates games in place and never deletes anything — so you're not entering hundreds of titles manually. Imported games are ready to drop into lists and pages right away.
A few practical notes:
- Site-only: the Seed Games button lives on the individual site (Origin App), not in Origin Admin — the games catalogue and its import belong to each site.
- Requires a key: seeding needs the TOURNAMENT_API_KEY environment variable set for that site; without it the import can't reach the provider.
- Pairs with Simplified mode: imported games carry an External Game ID and typically use the Simplified display style (a thumbnail that opens straight into the demo).
Curated game lists
Group games into named lists — "Top Slots," "New Releases," "Staff Picks" — and reuse them across pages. Reorder, swap, or refresh a list in one place and every page featuring it updates.
The games blocks
Two blocks bring games onto your pages, each with its own detailed guide page:
- Games List — displays a set of games as a grid or carousel, with toggles for which details show on each card and filters by provider, type, or feature.
- Single Game — spotlights one game with its stats table and a playable demo, ideal for reviews.
Playable demos, built in
Both blocks let visitors play a game demo right on the page in a pop-up — no leaving your site — with your operator's bonus offer shown alongside.
Two display styles
Every game runs in one of two modes: Extended, the full experience with stats and an info modal, or Simplified, a clean thumbnail that opens straight into the demo. You choose per game.
